Longtime Community Volunteer Beverly Scott selected as the 2025 Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal

Beverly Scott on her 90th Birthday.

The Shorewood Foundation is pleased to announce it has selected Beverly Scott as the 2025 Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal!. Beverly is a longtime resident, community volunteer and supporter of all things Shorewood.

“It really is a great honor,” said Scott, who was stunned to learn she had been nominated and teared up when told of her selection.

“Mrs. Scott has given so much to this community over the years,” said Shorewood Foundation President Jamie Reeve. “And we are pleased to bestow this honor on her.”

A mother of seven, Beverly also raised her grandson after her daughter passed away unexpectedly. All of her children attended St. Robert and Shorewood schools. Outside the home, she was and continues to be an active volunteer and community supporter.

Among her many activities over the years, she worked the polls on election day; she volunteers at the Shorewood Public Library; she is an active member and past officer of the Shorewood Woman's Club, where she chaired its annual fund-raising coffee sale; and she donates school supplies and toys for their back-to-school and Christmas drives.

Her generousity has been felt far beyond Shorewood. Over the years, she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity; the Milwaukee Performing Arts Center, ushering at the symphony, plays and other events; and at the Morning Glory Art festival to help raise funds for the PAC. Beverly is an active member of Ladies of Charity, a group that collects school supplies and clothing for Milwaukee families in need; and St. Vincent DePaul, providing the macaroni and cheese once a month at the organization’s meal for the poor.

In her community, she served as a Girl Scout leader, Cookie Chair and Boy Scout den mother. A member of St. Robert parish, she delivered communion to the sick and homebound. She served on the Home and School Committee and volunteered for the St. Robert Fair for years, serving as Fair Chair with her late husband, Charles. She was a volunteer health aide in the school and served on the committee for the St. Robert Follies.

And she’s a supporter of everything Shorewood: the Shorewood Foundation; the Men's Club BBQ; Shorewood Farmers Market; Shorewood High School Drama, Band and Orchestra; Shorewood Recreation; the Fourth of July fireworks and parade; and Shorewood Senior Center Classes and activities.

Please join us in congratulating our 2025 Fourth of July Parade Grand Marshal: Beverly Scott!
