Shorewood Foundation Commits $20,000 to Address Food Insecurity During Government Shutdown

As the federal government shutdown continues to affect Americans reliant on SNAP benefits, the Shorewood Foundation has deployed an emergency grant of $20,000 to support students, families, and seniors in our community.

Food assistance, in the form of Kroger gift cards, is being distributed to impacted residents via the Shorewood Community Network, Shorewood Senior Resource Center and Shorewood School District.

This rapid response during a time of confusion and delayed benefits is only possible thanks to the generosity of our donors.
